Welcome to San Angelo!

Howdy all! We've finally made it to San Angelo. In lieu of sending a ton of pictures and bogging down everyone's email in boxes I decided to start a blog page. We hope that you all find this as an easy way to keep up with us as we venture off on a new path here in San Angelo. Now the trick is for me to keep up with the blog! However, as pretty as it is here and as much as I like to take pictures, I'm sure that we will have plenty to post.

The place the we were very lucky to have purchased in San Angelo is about 15 miles south of town in a little development called Dove Creek (named for the creek that runs through it). It's a fixer upper in the sense that the acreage (all 7.8 acres of it) is in need of a little TLC. Right now it's fenced around the perimeter and the yards are fenced, but that's about it. We have plans to put up fences for smaller traps and of course Ty will be building a shop- which he is very excited about, and eventually an arena. There's also some brush clearing that needs to be done- which will most likely involve some sort of heavy equipment (right up Trey's alley). Our neighbors that we have met have all been very nice and we look forward to getting to know them. In fact, one of them has a goat that hangs out in the yard with her two hound dogs. There also seems to be an abundance of wildlife around with white tail deer, birds, other critters that tend to stay off in the brush (rabbits, raccoons, skunks, and whatever else might come along) and unfortunately bugs including fire ants. All in all though we are blessed to be able to live in such a great place with some room for us all!

Here are some pics of our move and of the place. Enjoy!

Good-bye Midland!

I wasn't leaving my plants behind....

Just a side note...it rained 3 1/2 inches during the weekend that we moved in. We figure it must be good luck!

Unloading Trey's toys (priorities you know). However, Ty and I actually were a day or two ahead of Trey. He was at my parent's place while we actually moved. We unloaded the Budget truck with the help of Daman, who Ty works with, in the rain.

Trey taking a cruise in the power wheels (which he finally drives now that there is room). Now all Mom and Dad have to do is find the charger that's still packed somewhere.....

Oops- stuck at the fence. There's a little view of our neighbor's place and their horses.

Well that's a little preview. Check back for more later....
